Photo shoots and rubber boots.

Hallo darlings!

I have had the most wonderful week of photoshoots with one of my best friends Carrie.  She’s currently visiting Edmonton to finish up her portfolio for her final marks in photography school and I could not be more proud of her! She’s learned a lot over the last year and was such a pro with all of the models we had.

We did 11 different shoots together — she did a few more with the help of her awesome boyfriend Jon, and other best friend Ryan and I must say the photos I’ve seen so far have turned out superbly! She should be finished with her portfolio in the coming couple weeks, so once she posts those photos and starts up her website, I’ll be happy to share that with you! In the meantime, check out a few of my instagram shots of her models, the landscapes we visited, the various wildlife we encountered and a few of Carrie herself! (oh and one of me with a Boston Terrier puppy!!!!)

That’s my girl! <3.

I think my favorite part about working with Carrie is that she’s constantly making sure everyone around her is doing okay.  If one of us was cold, she’d offer her sweater.  If we were hungry, she had a bag of snacks in the truck.  She’d hold the models hands when taking them through rough terrains in 3-4 inch heels.  She’s really great at what she does.

Oh and seeing her roll around in the leaves to get the best shot was also pretty awesome.

Carrie with Flirt the horse (what an adorable name!) and model Krystal. We shot with 4 horses, 1 dog, 1 cat and then played with another 5 dogs.  It was pretty amazing.

I don’t really know why I thought it would be a good idea to wear flats to a photoshoot on a farm… A big thank you to Krystal for lending me these awesome rubber boots!

I love this dog!! Boston terriers are definitely on my list of potential future dogs — right next to pugs, chihuahuas and corgis! (can you tell I like small dogs?)

Well that’s a wrap as they say.  I’m off to start my long list of chores and travel to-dos! I hope you have a wonderful long weekend!

Peace&Love.
